Sprink Break

For my birthday, Ryan took me to ventura and we had a picnic on the beach and then he took me to see my favorite singer/songwriter....The WHITE BUFFALO. He has this amazing deep voice. He sings louder rock stuff, then slower soft stuff. Check out this song called "Love Story". I put it in my side bar, but for some reason, youtube attached 4 different videos. The top one is the white buffalo and all the rest put him to shame so don't listen to those ones. Or just click on the link below. I first heard about him while I was living in Hawaii and now I have seen him 4 times. Twice by himself, and twice with his band.

I was so sick on Easter with the Stomach Flu, but Ryan spent good time with K and his family. His sister, Cassie, and her family were here to visit. THis is their cute daughter, Claire.

Tuesday we went down to Anahiem and stayed for a few days. Wednesday we went to Disneyland (with Ryan's parents and his sister's family) and my Mom and Gary, and my sister Katie and her family as well. Thursday we went to California AdventureLand. Thanks for a fun week at the beach and BBQ. So sorry your trip had to end early because of sickness. We miss you already.
Cathy took this picture of Kennedee from the row in front of us. This was our first ride of the day, and as you can see, her eyes were wide open for it all.

Of all Days...........Why Today?

Here are pics from the "great race". 5 minutes into it, I got the worst imaginable side stitch. I thought I could just change my breathing and it would go away, but this nasty bugger kept getting worse and lasted for 2 days later. (of course, it's only really painful when you are exerting yourself). So my time was 2 minutes slower than I wanted it to be. Oh Well. Good thing it was only a 5k, any longer I would have dropped out.

Ryan brought his camera and got a pic of the WHOLE group, so if anyone wants a copy, just let me know.

feeling good here

OUCH!

MUCH NEEDED GIRL TIME

Once a month, wouldn't it be nice to just forget about the responsibilities, the kids, the to-do list, the whatever, and be 16 again and LAUGH crazy loud in public, break out into dance and just not care what everybody else in the bowling ally is thinking about you and your group. Thanks for a fun Girl's Night. They can never come soon enough.

Flashback

I spent a good part of today going through old photo albums and had some great laughs at fun memories, funny 80's and 90's clothes, and great friends.
elementary school, I had a duo-surprise 12th Birthday Party with my friend Brienne. We found out about our surprise party about a couple of hours before. (we pretended we didn't know)

Jr. High-Kjirsten,Jill, and Matti getting ready for 9th grade promotion. We had the funniest tradition, that whenever it was someone's birthday, we would go to that girl's house on their birthday at 6am, drag her out of bed, dress her in crazy clothes, blind-fold her, and take her out to breakfast amongst other funny things. I loved being young and just plain goofy.

High School-I really LOVED high school. Sarah and I being big dorks one boring night decided to paint eachother's faces. And the other is Carol, who I ran track with. She was our top runner and actully made olympic tryouts this year. Way to keep it up!

College Years-this pic was taken before I moved to Hawaii. These 7 people were probably my bestest friends ever growing up. I LOVE YOU Katie, Greg,Dane, Richelle, Emily, Becca, and Jenny.

Big Girl Bed
After a week of climbing out of her crib, we knew we had to convert her crib to a toddler bed. SHe does great at night time, but not for naps, so we are down to 2 naps a week. The other 5 days she does quiet time in her room for 1 hour and does very well with it. Now if only I could get her to not drink bath water.

Visit from the McDaniels
Tiffany,Zach, and Caitlin came out to Cali for a visit to Disneyland and Lego land. I love the static hair in this pic. Ryan took Zachary to the beach to surf and he got up his first try.
