I owe Kam $5.00--Spring Break-Part 2

We spent the first part of spring break in San Diego with the Roberts' side. More on that later.  Then we went to Las Vegas area to be with my side of the family. We started out at the Golden Nugget and got to do lots of swimming and going down the water slide into the shark tank. The water slide goes thru the center of the tank.

We had lots of Easter activities planned, but all the places were crazy packed and lots of HOT lines. So we made our our fun with decorating Easter eggs, easter cookies, and water baloons.

Grammy Bo

our newest cousin, baby Riley, 7 weeks.

Aunt Abi

Uncle Kam playing water balloon toss with Tay.  And then Uncle Kam getting splashed on.

Tay loved the bikes and scooters.

Braden (6) just learned to ride a bike with no training wheels. We started at the end of the summer last year with K, but never had the time to really get it. So I offered Kam 5 bucks to teach Kennedee. Well, I guess her time on her scooter has helped with her balance, because he let go right away and off she went................but I better own up to my $5 offer.

Uncle Dane also took a stab at it.

 Tay wanted a turn too.

EASTER:

Carter and Kennedee Easter morning

the Easter Bunny did come.

Kennedee called Daddy who had to stay home for work and school.....and found out that the Easter Bunny also left some eggs and surprises in Simi Valley too.

Braden is such a sweet little boy. When he went to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him, he had tears of joy in his eyes.  What a tender moment.

Happy Easter!!

Kennedee's 6th Polka-dot Party--Part I

These are just the party decor pics, I haven't uploaded the people pics yet, so I'll get them later this week.  First it was going to be a CIRCLE party, but that sounded weird, so we went with polka-dots.  We chose yellow, white and silver for all the food and decor.

and everything was circle shaped (the cups are circles, right?)   LEMONADE

BANANA CREAM PUDDING

PINEAPPLE CIRCLES

PB & J CIRCLES

                                                       and POLKA-DOT CUPCAKES

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNEDEE

ACTIVITIES:
1. I had paper crafts for the girls to do when they first arrived
2. Each girl then got to make a yellow cake pop and decorate it with polka-dots
3. I brought in some "pros" and each girl got to have her nails done with polka-dots and their hair done with colored hair extension (pics to come soon)

THE FAVOR TINS filled with polka-dot candy and other fun favors.

so here is one shot of the girls at the crafting table. Almost every girl came wearing polka-dots...so cute!

Thanks to Grandma Cathy for taking pics and helping with the girls. Thanks to Grandpa Ron for taking Tayvlee on a wagon ride to the park to get out of the way. And thanks to my hair and nail specialists, Haley Bowen and Catherine Carranza.

from snow to sunshine

we didn't go up to Utah this year, so we wanted to still let the girls have so snow time. We went up near frazier park (about 80 minute drive).  The snow was perfect "snow-man-building" snow.

Then the next week, Aunt Emily and Adrian came with cousin Eli. We went to Disneyland for Grammy Roberts' birthday.

Tay stood in line to see Mickey, and right when it was her turn, she fell asleep.

But she was awake to see Minnie and got to give her a kiss.

We told Kennedee we were going to go on the "star ride".......never mentioning that is was really called SPACE MOUNTAIN.  Did she like it?  I'll let the photo speak for itself

Then later on, I told her we were going a the "Zippidy-Doo-Dah" ride, not mentioning that is was called splash mountain and we would go down the waterfall.  I though she would scream once she went over the water fall............but she LOVED it, and asked to go on it again. (the only ride she wanted to do more than once)
