The Distant Land of My Father-by Bo Caldwell
I enjoyed this book. It is about a girl from age 6-age 40+. She lived in Shanghai post WWII as a child and later moved to Pasadena, CA. This follows her life story and relationship with her father. I would definitely reccomend.
Book of a Thousand Days-by Shannon Hale
I would NOT reccomend....only because it is not my style. This book was written with similarity to Grimm Brothers Fairy Tale with the author's own twist. It's not like I hated it, but it's hard for me to get involved in a book about princesses and castle's, etc. I liked it enough to finish it, but the "Happily Ever After" type just isn't for me.
