Dr. Seuss......Dr. Seuss..........Dr.Seuss

ADDED to the POST
I am just adding to the previous Dr. Seuss Baby Shower I did 1 month ago. My other girlfriend loved the theme, so we did it for her baby boy Gabriel. And I had a lot more ideas for this one and better lit pics to show it all.

I did the thing 1 and thing 2 cupcakes again

We found a Dr. Seuss cookbook with great menu items. So I scanned in the images and photoshopped them with text.
                                                                   Cat's Mac and Cheese

                                                              the Cat's Tub Cake

                                                     noodle-eating poodles

                                                            cat's hat cookies

'Oh the Places You'll Go' book signing and lollipops

Biggel Balls
                                                                   the cat's stix mix
                                                               blueberry bumplings
of course the Ham to go with the deviled green eggs
                                                            Truffula Fruit
we found these cute napkins online

darling water labels for the bottles
also found these great Dr. Seuss cups online
                                                             pink ink yink drink
these were the cutest onesies, shirts, burpcloths, blankies all found online
I borrowed tons of these wall clingers from my daughter's preschool teacher
she had a really big one for the front door, it was the best way to be greeted

We played all the same games as the previous shower, except for a tie breaker, I had the guests invent a 4-line rhyme about the mom-to-be and baby. It was hilarious.

ORIGNAL POST
I have been obsessed with all things Dr. Seuss ever sine I decided the theme for my friend's baby shower. You just can't go wrong with the good Dr.

I got my rhyming on and made these invitaions.

This was in the entry way when you walked into the house.
along with the place to put gifts and pin any card up onto the corkboard.

I found the baby version of the book "Oh the Places You'll Go" and decided to have all the guests sign in the book.

I love this book!

I love this quote from "Horton"........so I put it with a pic of the mom-to-be's ultrasound picture.

A PERSON's  a  PERSON no matter how small.

then I put all that with some Dr. Seuss books.

When the guests first arrived I gave them 2 different trivia sheets to guess the title of popular Dr. Seuss books....................................................................................

and popular Dr. Seuss character.

and these were the prizes, thanks to some printables I got from "THE GIVING MADAM"

And here was the menu. I tried to base the food off of words found in the Dr. Seuss books.  So I assigned dishes for everyone.  Thanks again for all your help with the food.

obviously, we were going to have green eggs and ham. So, we had ham and cheese (cheese trees from 'Fox in Socks')  sandwiches.

and green deviled eggs. I love that she swirled the egg mixture all whoville-like.

alphabet cookies from the ABC book

the rolls for the sandwiches

'poodles with noodles' from FOX IN SOCKS

the 'YOT in a POT' was sweet and sour meatballs from "There's a Wocket in my Pocket"

and 'Pink ink yink Drink' from ONE fish TWO fish RED fish BLUE fish.

I also had a bowl of colored gold fish to go with this book as well

and for dessert I mad the Cat's Hat. Printables also from "THE GIVING MADAM".

and THING 1 and THING 2 cupcakes...........red velvet cupcakes with blue cotton candy on top.

After we ate we played "An Elephant Never Forgets" by showing 10 baby items really fast, hiding them, and having everyone write down all the items that they can remember.

Then we played "How Much did you Say you'd be Willing to Pay", by having everyone guess the retail price for the same 10 items from the previous game.

Then we finished up by opening presents (see post below).
