I've probably posted a little about what I do for a living. I've been a personal trainer for 11 years. I started doing group exercise in 2007 after I had my first daughter. Like everyone else, I found myself not working out as often after having a child and I knew that needed to change (especially if I am supposed to be leading my example as a trainer). So I became a Group Exercise Instructor. No excuses on working out because 1. I have to show-up. 2. I get PAID to be there. 3. And because I am the teaching, I need to work the hardest and lift the heaviest to motivate my class to do the same, so I push HARD. I've loved group exercise, but not until I started teaching Les Mills formats, did my real teaching style come out. Les Mills helped me find my real potential (I was going easy all that time before). Now I work out to my max, leaving nothing behind. I have never been stronger, fitter, and my metabolism has never been higher. All thanks to resistance training. I do love what CARDIO gives to me mentally, but as far as cosmetics go, WEIGHT TRAINING is where the real results come from.
BODYPUMP as shown in the pics below is a high-rep class, in which we do 100 squats, 100 chest presses, 100 Back, Triceps, Biceps, Shoulders, Abs, etc. So a little weight starts to burn pretty good after a couple minutes
60 pounds
22 pounds
33 pounds
