What car would you reccomend?

We've been holding off on buying a new car until we had a second kid and really need the room. Might as well save on gas as long as you can. But if you're gonna buy a car, this year is a great time to buy. People are getting some serious deals. Ryan aka MR. GREEN really wants a hybrid. I have never cared for Fords, but they are one of the few SUV's that has a hybrid.

Question #9
My question is....What kind of car do you have or wish you had and WHY? I'm looking for something to fit 2 adults, 2 car seats and definitely travel space for trips. Van, SUV, Crossover, Truck, whatever........let me know what you reccomend.

And the Award goes To....................

Every year we go to an Oscar Viewing party. We print off the ballots and make guesses on all the awards. Whoever gets the most correct wins a big prize. We also assign food assignments with food chosen straight from the best picture nominations. I made a dish from "The Reader". The hosting couple also puts out a red carpet with lots of decor and bling bling. Thanks for a fun night to the Gardeners, Brobergs, Basils, Roberts, and Camps.

Flashback in time. I had a client who's husband is a film producer for movies like "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". Well she was on the verge of divorce and wanted one last time to spend away his money before she left him, so she took me and a few others to the Academy Awards in 2005 when Chris Rock was the host. She got a huge hummer limo, we all dressed up fancy. I found a cute knock off Versace dress that resembled a purple one Uma Thurman had worn. I sat with the E channel news people but was in close proximity to seeing Adrian Brody, Al Pacino, and Martin Sheen. Fun experience........but I like watching from home even more.

We have an SUV. It fits 2 car seats nicely and we have room for our luggage/stuff in the back. But just today I was really wanted a van with sliding doors. I know they are not the coolest thing to have but I was trying to put Makenna in the car who is still in the infant seat and the car next to me in the parking lot was too close to mine that I couldn't open my door wide enough to get the seat in. So I had to take Jacob out of his seat so I could lift her over his seat to get her in and then had to get Jacob back into his seat. Probably more info then you wanted but it just happened today and I'm still exhausted over the whole thing.

It sounds like you a had a great time on Oscar night. I do hope that Adrian and I move to California. That way we could spend time with you more often. Thanks for the nice comment. I hope you weren't offended by Adrian's blog. It was just a bad time for him and now we are both sick. Yippee!

Honda Van all the way! Josh would say to get a SUV but a van is a lot easier to put kids in and out and the automatic doors are the best! Plus it has a huge trunk space. Its not the coolest looking car but its practical! Good Luck!

If John and I got another car we would love to get is the GMC Acadia- it's one of those crossovers and has great ratings. To be honest I just love the way it looks!!! BTW- love that pic of you and Ryan behind the picture. haha And that is so cool you went to the Academy Awards!
