Ender's Game---latest read

So I have never been known to indulge in Science Fiction, but I gave Ender's Game a try. Written by Orson Scott Card in the late '70s.
It is a military science fiction novel. Set in Earth's future, the novel presents an imperilled mankind that has barely survived two conflicts with the Formics or "Buggers", an insectoid alien species. In preparation for an anticipated third invasion, an international fleet maintains a school to find and train future fleet commanders. The world's most talented children, including the novel's protagonist, Ender Wiggin, are taken at a very young age to a training center known as the Battle School. There, teachers train them in the arts of war through increasingly difficult games including ones undertaken in zero gravity in the Battle Room, where Ender's tactical genius is revealed.  I enjoyed the book, it is a pretty fast read. So now I must decide if I will continue the series. Scott has written 3 sequels to Ender's Game as well as a prequel.  He also has written 6 other books in a parallel series called the Shadow Series.

It is has quite some success and the first book has already been made into a movie which comes out NOVEMBER 1st, this year.  So perhaps if the movie's keep on coming for each book, I may just read the books to keep up, we will see. Here is the MOVIE POSTER
